Wonder is defined as a construction and suspension of the heart caused by amazement at the sensible appearance of something so portentous, great, and unusual, that the heart suffers a systole.

Its a spectacular feeling to have something that you are truly enamored by. Experiencing Flow, a concept described by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, gives you the opportunity to get lost in your work. The perfect balance between challenge and personal skill gives yourself the opportunity to experience the most beautiful euphoria. What makes this concept so amazing, is that you are in complete control of the outcome and driven by passion for a certain subject or subjects. Which leads me to my next point. Recently I have felt a little bit conflicted about what I want to do with my future, and more importantly who I want to be as a human being. It seems like I am being pulled in many different directions in regards to my post-college future. But I came to the realization that these different interests actually create a unique career path that I get to pave independently. This realization was actually influenced by an incredibly interesting TED talk by Emily Wapnick. I highly recommend you guys to check it out and be inspired by the many opportunities that life throws your way. Let yourself fall in love with this wonderful world.

Enough of my ramblings.

Now for the good stuff: the outfit explanation.

I have repeatedly talked about my, lets call it, fear of denim. Perhaps fear is too strong a word, I suppose it would be more accurate to say that I am apprehensive of denim. It simply seems so normal to me, and I am not the biggest fan of normal. But recently my interest has been piqued by fashion it-girls dawning denim all over the world. The one item that was a must for me was a denim skirt. Denim skirts bring me back to my childhood, I was such a mini skirt kind of girl. This particular skirt was purchased on Black Friday for a mere  $17! The fit is a little bit off, but I made it work. My other must-have right now is a cozy turtleneck for the frigid winter months ahead. The muted colors of my beloved turtleneck and denim skirt were perfectly contrasted by the edginess of the leather sleeves, black tights, and fur purse(aka this is such a me outfit). But I would have to say my favorite part of this outfit is the statement earrings.

On another note, I decided to chop off my long hair and opted for medium layers and a middle part sans bangs. The last time my hair was this length I was probably 6 years old. My hair actually became something of a security blanket for me. I could easily hide behind my long locks and side bangs. But I am in love with this chic new look.
